Meet The Team

Alyssa Kuang

Alyssa Kuang started her piano study at age of 5 with Dr. Yan Shen. She is a high schooler at John Cooper School in The Woodlands, TX, U.S.A. . She participated local piano competitions and won honors and served charity events. She also participated and won prizes in several international competitions. Besides piano, she studies ballet, jazz, and Chinese traditional dances and is a dancer of the John Cooper School Dancing Team. She is a soccer player of high school team and high jumper of track and field team.. 

Lisa Dai

Lisa Dai began playing piano at 5. She has found more passion in piano under the guidance of pianist Dr. Yan Shen in the past year, and would like to show her hard work and enthusiasm for music to the world. She has won third place in an international music talent competition this year. Besides playing piano, she enjoys many other things like drawing, reading, skating, etc.
 

April Guo

April Guo is in the 9th grade currently. She really enjoys music, playing Harp and Piano.
April had started playing harp since she was in sixth grade. In the past few years, she participated in the middle school All-Region contest and the Solo & Ensemble contest. She qualified as the first chair harpist in All-Region in her second year of playing the harp as a 7th grader. She also earned awards for the Solo and Ensemble contest in the year of 2021-2022. In the year of 2022-2023, she also joined the Virtuosi of Houston outside of school, playing the Harp.
April has been playing piano since she was five. She has participated and won prizes in various national/international piano competitions .
 

Dylan Tao

Dylan is a ninth greader at the John Cooper School in the Woodlands, TX. He started his piano lesson with the International Music Academy of Houston at age six. He currently continues his piano lesson under the instruction of Dr. Naomi Shibatani in Conroe, TX. Dylan also plays flute in the shool band and wind ensemble starting from three years ago.

Tulgaa Borjigin

Tulgaa is a 8th grader at McCullough Junior High School in the Woodlands, TX. He started his piano lesson in age of four in NC.

He currently continues his piano lesson under Dr. Khoren Ouzounian at Ethos School of Music.

Conrad Grimme

Conrad Grimme is 8th grader at Willow Wood Junior High. He started playing piano in elementary school and takes lessons from Sylvia Teng. In addition, he enjoys track, chess, and games. During the school districts' track meet season, he placed third in the four hundred meter dash. !He won third and second place in school district chess tournaments. He also likes fishing, camping, and hiking. He has hiked in the forests in East Texas, the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, and the Alps in Europe.

Evelyn Shen

Evelyn Shen is a 9th grader in Emery Weiner School. She started playing piano at 6 and violin at 10. In addition to music, Evelyn loves fine arts, reading, traveling, and swimming. She is a student at the Glassell Junior School of Art and has won several student scholarships.

Jessica Shi

Jessica Shi is a 8th grade at Fort Settlement Middle School.  She started to play piano at age of 6. Besides piano, she loves dance, reading, drawing, debate, track and volleyball. She won the “Top intermediate soloist “ at Starbound National Talent Competition in 2021.
